Slimbridge (15 miles)

In 1946, Sir Peter Scott, the son of Captain Scott of the Antarctic, founded the Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.

Its now grown into one of the largest wetland conservation organisations in the world.

The area is home to resident Flamingos, along with thousands of Ducks, Geese , Moorhen, Oystercatcher, Kingfisher, Swans and many more.
